The Residential Facility
Our “River Bend” property is a beautiful 3 Bed 2.5 bathroom home, over 2200 sq feet of living space. This property boasts an open floor plan with great living and family rooms. Designer touches include plenty of natural lighting, decorative double- sided fireplace, arched doorways and elevated ceilings throughout. Large, wheelchair accessible kitchen has oak cabinets, sleek black appliances, a breakfast bar, and an eating area right next to the family room and separate dining area. This property sits on 8,000 sq ft lot with fenced backyard. Covered lanai opening to a large deck overlooking the tranquil waters of Sweetwater Creek. The patio boasts vestibular stimulation through specially modified c-shaped hammock swings and standing pallet planters for total client inclusion. The home also has a huge 2 car garage for extra storage space. Home is located in the River City area of beautiful Jacksonville, Florida close to I-295 and I-95.
The home is fully furnished by the organization to include all bedroom furniture, television and storage. Each client has their OWN ROOM, no shared bedroom/private space for our special individuals. And each space is personalized to his/her liking and to fit their respective personalities.
The facility includes adaptive equipment to ensure proper transfers with mechanical/Hoyer lift, traction strips for easy wheelchair propulsion on carpeted areas, wheelchair ramps for accessibility to exits with minimal assistance, netted shower chair/bed for bath time safety, bathtub inserts for therapeutic whirlpool baths and elevated/mechanical beds whenever needed.
The facility is located in the North Jacksonville area, less than 20 miles from the downtown area and just 5 minutes from the 295 beltway. Encouraging continued involvement and accessibility to with your loved one. We have two, wheelchair accessible vehicles with wheelchairs ramps and additional seating to meet all of our client transportation needs. We gladly express our willingness to transport to and from local homes for visits as well as medical appointments and recreational outings at no additional cost.
